What is Spinal
Decompression
Therapy?
Spinal
decompression
therapy is a non-surgical traction based treatment for bulging,
herniated, or degenerated discs in the neck and lower back.
Anyone who has back, neck, arm or leg pain may benefit from the LCD Spinal Care System.

What type of decompression system is used and what experience does Dr. Roth have in treating spinal pain and disc problems?
After careful consideration and
research, the Arkansas Spine And Joint Pain Clinic chose the Triton®
DTS system manufactured by the Chattanooga Group, the premier
manufacturer of physical medicine equipment.
Our Spinal
Decompression system has a computerized decompression traction head
that won the Australian Design Award in the "Medical and Scientific"
category. It is also the system that the University of Texas
purchased for the treatment of its world-class athletes. We
also selected the Triton®
DTS system because it has the capability of treating both low back
and neck disc problems.
In regard to treatment experience, Dr. Roth has 19 years of
experience treating spine and joint pain, and has provided over
50,000 treatments during his career. He was having exceptional
results prior to starting spinal decompression in 2003. Since
adding spinal decompression, his results have improved even more!

Why is Spinal Decompression therapy
so
effective?
The right equipment is
one of the main keys to successfully treat spinal related
conditions. The Spinal Decompression Table and the
computerized traction head provide the highly effective tools to
make
correction possible.
It takes more than high tech equipment to produce the best results.
The skill and experience of the doctor are also critical aspects of
highly effective treatment.
Proper evaluation, accurate positioning, and the use of computerized programmed patterns of stretching and relaxation may reduce disc pressure allowing necessary nutrients to invigorate and accelerate disc healing.

What
conditions are treated with Spinal Decompression Therapy?
People with back pain or
neck pain caused by
damaged or degenerated discs, may be helped by spinal decompression
therapy.
Commonly treated conditions include bulging, herniated or ruptured
discs,
spinal stenosis, sciatica or even failed surgery.
Spinal discs degenerate from years of wear-and-tear, in addition to the compressional forces of weightbearing. Spinal decompression therapy may help the effects of degeneration by
restoring motion. This, in turn, enhances the diffusion of nutrients and metabolic by-products, in and out of the cells.

Are there any scientific studies that document the effectiveness of Spinal Decompression Therapy?
The answer is definitely yes! In fact, one particular study demonstrated up to 90% reductions of disc herniations in 10 of 14 cases, and other studies reported that the majority of herniated disc patients achieved "good" to "excellent" results after spinal decompression therapy.

What is Cold Laser Therapy?
Cold Laser Therapy (also known as
Low
Level Laser Therapy) is an FDA cleared therapy that involves the painless application of highly
concentrated red, and near infrared light over inflamed soft
tissues, injuries, or wounds. This process improves soft tissue
healing and relieves both acute and chronic pain. Cold (subthermal)
laser light energy "bio-stimulates" the body’s cells without
injuring or damaging them in any way.

How does Cold Laser Therapy work with Spinal Decompression Therapy?
Spinal Decompression Therapy mechanically decompresses the disc, while Cold Laser Therapy biostimulates the soft tissue on a sub-cellular level. This encourages healing of the soft tissue, and reduces pain and inflammation at a dramatically accelerated rate.

Does Cold Laser Therapy cause pain and are there any side effects?
No. Cold Laser Therapy is a painless therapy.
There are no pulsating shocks felt, as in forms of electrical
stimulation, nor heat used as with ultrasounds. The most
noticeable sensation is the touch of the probe head of the laser, as
it comes into contact with the skin.
In addition, no documented side effects were noted in over 2,500 scientific studies.

Back Pain
"I was having constant back pain while
lying and sitting. I tried pain pills, ice packs, and heat
packs without any relief. Some women at Sunday School told me about
Dr. Roth and I went in for treatment. After my first treatment
I felt much better, and could sit for awhile without pain. "
